The marotte puppet theater has had a permanent venue in Karlsruhe since 1987. Every year, around 300 performances are given in the children's and evening program.
marotte is characterized by the variety of theatrical means and the repertoire. The spectrum ranges from the realization of traditional fairy tales to theatrical versions of modern children's books and experimental plays. A wide variety of characters are used, including hand puppets, table puppets, shadow puppets, marionettes and objects.
