The Turmberg is the local mountain of the former Baden residential town of Durlach. It is 256 meters high and the north-westernmost peak of the Black Forest at the transition between the low mountain range and the hilly landscape of Kraichgau.
The Turmberg terrace offers a wonderful view over Karlsruhe and invites you to linger and relax. The mountain can be climbed on foot via the "Hexenstäffele". To do this, climb the 528 steps of the stairway to the top. To reach the Turmberg tower, you have to climb a further 128 steps.
