Welcome to the Kepler town of Weil der Stadt

In the middle of the countryside and yet only 28 kilometers from the state capital Stuttgart: the former free imperial city of Weil der Stadt with its districts of Merklingen, Schafhausen, Münklingen and Hausen is the fifth largest city in the Böblingen district with 19,404 inhabitants.

The town is particularly well known as the birthplace of the famous astronomer and mathematician Johannes Kepler (1571 to 1630) and the Württemberg reformer Johannes Brenz (1499 to 1570).
