Bernauer Stadtmauer

An der Stadtmauer, 16321 Bernau bei Berlin

Bernauer Stadtmauer
Built n the 13th and 14th centuries, the 8 metre high historic town wall made of field stones still surrounds the old town of Bernau today. The Stone Gate - one of three former city gates - and the so-called Hunger Tower have been preserved over a length of around 1,500 metres. The latter offers marvellous views of the town from above, which is the "gateway to the Barnim Nature Park".
