Biosphere Region Swabian Alb
As a UNESCO model region, the Swabian Alb biosphere reserve covers around 85,000 hectares and includes large parts of the central Swabian Alb. With around 150,000 people in 29 cities and municipalities, models and ideas are being conceived and tested here with the aim of enabling people and nature to coexist on an equal footing.
