Bostalsee

Since its opening in 1979, the Bostal reservoir in the Saar-Hunsrück Nature Park has primarily been used for recreational purposes. Two large sandy beaches, numerous sunbathing lawns and beach volleyball courts attract visitors, especially in summer temperatures. With an area of 120 hectares, it is also the largest bathing lake in the south-west. A circular hiking trail offers beautiful panoramic views of the dammed up waters all year round.
