Helmstedt Historische Universitätstadt
From 1576 to 1810, Helmstedt was a historic university town dedicated to learning: Buildings such as the Juleum Novum, which houses the Helmstedt District and University Museum, still bear witness to this today. There, visitors can learn more about student life and the history of the city. Another place of interest is Marienberg Abbey with its medieval stained glass windows.
