**Friedrich Hölderlin**, the city’s most famous son, has been the subject of an innovative exhibition since July 2020 at the new [Hölderlin House](https://www.heilbronnerland.de/poi/hoelderlinhaus-lauffen "More information about the Hölderlin House") since July 2020, offering insight into the work, life, and legacy of the poet and philosopher born in Lauffen am Neckar in 1770.
A **Hölderlin**
**sculpture** by the renowned sculptor **Peter Lenk**, located at one of the city’s busiest spots—a roundabout—also impressively depicts this great poet alongside other figures from his era and life.
