Meteor Crater Steinheim

The result of a significant meteorite impact and a geological highlight of the region is the Steinheim meteor crater in Baden-Württemberg. This circular landscape functions as a nature reserve and flora and fauna habitat. In the associated museum, visitors can learn about the history and geological features of the site. An approximately 20-kilometre hiking trail around the crater also offers impressive panoramic views.
