In the Saxon Switzerland National Park, unspoilt landscapes of forests, hills and bizarrely shaped sandstone rocks are waiting to be discovered. The latter also includes the "Bastei", 194 metres above the Elbe - the region's landmark - with an almost 80-metre-long stone bridge that offers sweeping views. No less impressive is the Königsstein fortress perched on a hill.
