Welcome to Black Forest Nature Park Centre/North

Forests, meadows, pastures, vineyards, streams, rivers, moors, cirque lakes, and rocks—the landscape in the [Black Forest Central/North Nature Park](https://www.naturparkschwarzwald.de/) is diverse. 800,000 inhabitants live in the more than 100 towns and communities that belong to the nature park family. Covering 4,200 square kilometers, this large protected area is the largest nature park in Germany. The nature park supports local producers in marketing their products, for example at the nature park markets. In the nature park schools and nature park kindergartens, children learn from experts in their local area about what is typical of the nature and culture in their homeland. The nature park preserves the typical Black Forest natural and cultural landscape with maintenance campaigns and wildflower meadows. It also provides tips on what everyone can do locally to protect the climate. The nature park is a home, a recreation area, an adventure area, and a vacation destination. The trekking camps and the nature park cycle path, for example, ensure sustainable tourism. The nature park is a habitat. Detailed information about the Black Forest Central/North Nature Park and its wide range of offerings in the areas of sustainable tourism, regional marketing, education, and species protection, as well as climate protection and climate adaptation, can be found online at [www.naturparkschwarzwald.de](http://www.naturparkschwarzwald.de).
