Richard Wagner in Leipzig

Born in Leipzig in 1813, the composer Richard Wagner is one of the city's most famous children. The Richard Wagner monument in the city centre is not the only evidence of this. Between 1992 and 1994, the auditorium of the Nikolai School, where Wagner attended music lessons, was extensively restored. In addition, a permanent exhibition in the foyer reveals more about the composer's youth.
