Hohentwiel Ruin
The Hohentwiel fortress ruins, one of the largest in Germany, sit proudly on the highest of the seven Hegau volcanoes. Covering an area of around nine hectares, it offers a wonderful panoramic view of the surrounding area. Historic defences tell of its past power and greatness. The diverse flora and fauna of the volcanic rock also give the place a special character.
