Schlösser Glauchau

The castles of Glauchau form a unique double complex for Saxony. Several architectural styles come together here. With its pointed arches and curtain arch windows, Hinterglauchau Castle epitomises the late Romanesque period, but also shows Renaissance and Baroque influences. The building is completed by Vorderglauchau Castle, built in 1524 in the early Renaissance style. Today it houses a museum on the history of the town.
