Tierpark Chemnitz

Chemnitz Zoo, which opened in 1964, is now home to around 250 species. Monkeys and sloths are just as much a part of it as zoological rarities, including mountain zebras and Amur cats. Tropical birds fly overhead in the free-flight hall, while over 80 amphibian species from all over the world await visitors in the vivarium, which is unique in Europe. The petting enclosure is particularly popular with children.
