Welcome to Farrenbräu event location

In January 2019, the young brewer Ulrich Straub brewed his own beer for the first time in the old “Farrenstall” in Zimmern in the Donaubergland region. Since 2024, the beer has been brewed at the new event brewery in Immendingen in the DonauBierland region, right on the Danube Cycle Path. The trained brewer is driven by creativity, curiosity, and the goal of introducing the Donaubergland region—DonauBierland—to some truly special beers. Since then, he has created various popular beer styles such as Pils, Hefeweizen, and Helles. For his craft beers, he has experimented with many ingredients and brought many of his ideas to life. His great-grandfather and grandfather already brewed delicious regional beer in the neighboring Tuttlingen district of Möhringen, near the Danube seepage area. The show brewery features a bar—which also accommodates group visits—and serves “home-style German cuisine” to go with the beer. The beer garden at the Danube seepage area hosts live music every Sunday. So far, his success has proven him right: Farrenbräu has since opened a restaurant under the same name in Tuttlingen, as well as a beer garden in the city’s Donaupark. The high demand led him to begin bottling beer on a larger scale; since then, “Donauperle” has been available in stores throughout the region, and in 2021, the brewery added its own pilsner to the lineup. The new brewery is located directly on the Danube near Immendingen, right at the first main infiltration point of the Danube seepage area. Farrenbräu is part of the DonauBierland initiative in the Donaubergland region.
