General information

Whoever approaches the Malchin Gate, directly experiences Teterow's past. The two lighted shop window displays already provide a first insight into the life and work of the Teterow arable citizens and craftsmen around 1920. Unique in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is the connection of prison cells in a medieval gate with the 18th century residence of the municipal prison wardens. From the gate there are great views of the city.
