Route (external navigation)

Marxzell with the villages of Burbach, Frauenalb, Marxzell, Pfaffenrot and Schielberg lies halfway between Ettlingen and Bad Herrenalb and is therefore the "heart" of the Alb Valley. Extensive coniferous and mixed forests characterize the extraordinarily attractive landscape. The healthy climate, the good air and the many hiking and walking trails over well-tended corridors with bubbling mountain streams make Marxzell a recognized recreational area. Here you will find real peace and relaxation!

With its exploratory tasks and research questions, this GeoTour turns the topic of "rocks and geology" into an exciting outdoor experience. All texts and pictures of the stations can be found in this brochure, there are no information boards in the area.

Please note: Walking on forest paths, roadsides, forest areas, former quarries etc. is at your own risk! Do not make any detours at small monuments such as millstones, boulders, walls, etc.!

Follow the hiking trail in the direction of "Kloster Frauenalb" as far as the bridge over the Alb.
